Karl Schweitzer retains his position as Chairman

arl Schweitzer was victorious on Tuesday, December 8th and reclaimed his position as the Hicksville Water District Chairman Commissioner. The District had a great voter turnout and Commissioner Schweitzer received 1,267 votes.
Although running unopposed, the Commissioner still felt the pressure, “With all the hard work the team and I put in every year, I was hopeful for a good showing at the polls. The Hicksville Water District showed its support as the public showed up in droves. It let me know that the residents see the dedication I have for this community, and that’s all I can ask for!”
This past Tuesday marked the first time in the HWD history that a joint election was held for both the Water District and the Fire District. Schweitzer will rejoin fellow Commissioners Nicholas Brigandi and Warren Uss.
