Commissioner Warren Uss
Chairman

Mr. Warren Uss is a third-generation and life-long resident of Hicksville.  He has served as a trustee, as well as president, of the Hicksville Exempt Benevolent Association.

For over 35 years, Mr. Uss has been an active member of the Hicksville Fire Department and currently works within the District as a fire-alarm dispatcher.  He was the captain of Emergency Company #5 and served on countless Fire Department committees including the Training & Budget Committee; Chairman of the Department By-law Committee, Welfare Committee and Grievance Committee. 

Mr. Uss has also worked as a licensed, registered representative of the New York Stock Exchange with a concentration in tax-free municipal bonds and fixed income securities.  In addition to his time with NYSE, Mr. Uss owned and operated a home improvement business for fifteen years. 

Uss has also previously dedicated his time to coaching in the Hicksville Little League Baseball Association as well as coaching basketball for Tinity Lutheran Church in Hicksville.  He and his wife Dianne, also a lifelong Hicksville resident are proud parents of Alexandra Lynn.
